Baseball Recap: Garner Comes Up Short

Garner fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Cleveland on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of 5-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-2 on Tuesday.

Garner dropped their record down to 9-11 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Cleveland, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Garner will take on rival Southeast Raleigh at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cleveland is set to challenge their familiar foe South Garner at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
