Saluda came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Strom Thurmond, but Landen Jones wouldn't allow it. The Strom Thurmond Rebels secured a 36-30 W over the Saluda Tigers on Friday thanks in part to Jones, who almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine boards. Strom Thurmond is undefeated when Jones posts 15 or more points, but 11-12 otherwise.

Zy Rouse was another key player, putting up six points and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Strom Thurmond is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-12 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Saluda and nudges their season record down to 15-7.

Strom Thurmond has already played their next match, a 50-42 win against Columbia on the 18th. As for Saluda, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 54-49 defeat against Clinton on the 18th.
