It was a good run, but Vernon unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against the Hunterdon Central Red Devils, falling 10-1. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Hunterdon Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
