Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask American Canyon). They put the hurt on the Napa Grizzlies with a sharp 19-5 victory on Tuesday. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Royce Hall was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases. He has become a key player for American Canyon: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-8 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mason Harris, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of American Canyon's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-1 (and 2-8 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Cole Gholar, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5.

American Canyon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March.

American Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Napa, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

American Canyon will have a chance to go back-to-back against Napa: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
