Basketball Recap: Bismarck Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Ean Bone and Austin Dunlap

Bismarck was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost to the North County Raiders on the road by a 70-52 margin. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 61-39 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.

Bismarck's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Austin Dunlap, who went 12-for-20 on his way to 29 points, and Ean Bone, who went 5-for-6 en route to 11 points and five rebounds. Dunlap has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

Bismarck's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for North County, their record is now 7-13.

Bismarck will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Brentwood at 5:00 p.m. on February 24th. As for North County, they have already played their next match, a 47-44 defeat against Valley on the 15th.
