Baseball Recap: Bridges Prep Triumphs

The Bridges Prep Buccaneers narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Edisto Cougars 3-1.

Bridges Prep's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Dakari Greene, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Wesley Brown also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Bridges Prep's record is now 5-2. As for Edisto, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bridges Prep will square off against Branchville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Edisto, they will face off against Williston-Elko at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
