Softball Recap: Gueydan Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Gueydan was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They came up short against the Hackberry Mustangs, falling 15-2. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gueydan's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Hackberry, they pushed their record up to 3-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Gueydan will venture away from home to take on Lake Arthur at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Gueydan has given up an average of 15.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Hackberry, they will host Starks at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Starks will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Hackberry surely won't give up without a fight.
