Baseball Recap: Adair County Triumphs

Adair County's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They never let the Metcalfe County Hornets get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won seven in a row.

The result came thanks to Jasper Kemp's shutout, as he gave up just five hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Bryce Russell, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Adair County's success: when he posts at least one home run the team is 4-2 (and 9-11 when he doesn't).
