Basketball Recap: Jordyn Ford Key Part of a Team Effort in Tigers Win

Moss Point proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 30) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged the Bay Tigers out 31-28. This was payback for Moss Point, who suffered a 40-16 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Moss Point got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordyn Ford out in front who posted nine points. Ford is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Kaliyah Richardson was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Moss Point pushed their record up to 12-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.0 points per game. As for Bay, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 14-6 record.

Moss Point didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 38-30 victory against Greene County on the 14th. Bay has also already played their next game (against Pass Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
