Ladysmith came into Thursday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Elmwood/Plum City Wolves on Thursday. That looming 2-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Lumberjacks yet this season.

While Ladysmith won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23.

Ladysmith's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Elmwood/Plum City, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Coincidentally, Ladysmith and Elmwood/Plum City will both be playing South Shore the next time they take the court. The Lumberjacks will host the Cardinals at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Wolves will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
