Softball Game Preview: Riverside Pirates vs. Umatilla Vikings

The Riverside Pirates will face off against the Umatilla Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverside will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Riverside turned things around against Weston-McEwen/Griswold on Thursday. They blew past the Tiger Scots 18-1. The Pirates' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Umatilla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Vale, falling 16-1.

Umatilla's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Riverside, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-6.
