Basketball Recap: Christian Home Educators Fellowship Falls to Midstate Homeschool in First Game of Season

Christian Home Educators Fellowship unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Midstate Homeschool Storm on Thursday, falling 43-22. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 47-37 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Despite the defeat, Christian Home Educators Fellowship saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Grace Gunter posted two points along with 11 boards and three steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Midstate Homeschool and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Coming up, Christian Home Educators Fellowship is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Midstate Homeschool, they will take on Bishop Noland Episcopal Day at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Storm's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
