Basketball Recap: St. Brendan Starts Season with Loss at Home

St. Brendan unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 71-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the ABF Academy Homestead Bandits on Tuesday.

St. Brendan's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aiden Perez, who posted 17 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucca Lopez-Viegas, who scored eight points and eight rebounds.

The victory got ABF Academy Homestead back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, St. Brendan will welcome TERRA Environmental at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for ABF Academy Homestead, they will venture away from home to challenge True North Classical Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
