Preview: Kimball Longhorns vs. Chase County Longhorns

Kimball is 0-10 against Chase County since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Kimball Longhorns will head out on the road to square off against the Chase County Longhorns at 5:00 p.m. Hopefully Kimball focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 40 on Friday.

Kimball suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were beaten by Bridgeport 66-18. While losing is never fun, Kimball can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Bridgeport is ranked 22nd).

Despite their defeat, Kimball saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Grace Anderson, who scored eight points along with six rebounds, was perhaps the best of all.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Kimball struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Bridgeport posted 16 assists.

Meanwhile, Chase County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 39-27 victory over Perkins County.

Kimball has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Chase County, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-6.

Kimball was taken down by Chase County 54-22 in their previous matchup last Saturday. Can Kimball avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
