The Sand Creek Scorpions's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Palmer Terrors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sand Creek will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.

Sand Creek is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Widefield 51-17 on the road on Saturday.

It was another big night for Ethan Mangrum, who rushed for 210 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 33 yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making a tackle. Achilles Evans was another key rusher, rushing for 89 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.

Sand Creek wouldn't let Widefield keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Sand Creek can thank Gavin Nielson and Mangrum for forcing both of them. Nielson also set a new season high mark in total tackles with four.

Meanwhile, Palmer entered their matchup against Liberty on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Palmer lost 29-8 to Liberty. The Terrors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The victory got Sand Creek back to even at 2-2. As for Palmer, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Sand Creek was able to grind out a solid win over Palmer in their previous meeting back in August of 2023, winning 20-12. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sand Creek since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
