With a playoff game on the line, Flint Hill rose to the challenge on Thursday. They had just enough and edged the Potomac School Panthers out 3-2. For the Huskies, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October.

Flint Hill took Potomac School into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 25-15, 17-25, 25-17, 15-13.

Flint Hill found their leader in sophomore Caroline Semko, who had 13 digs and a block.

Semko was just one part of a dominant defense: Flint Hill kept the net locked down and finished the game with ten blocks. That's the most blocks they've posted since back in September.

Despite the loss, Potomac School still got an impressive performance from Lily Gurney, who had 19 digs and four aces. That's the most aces Gurney has posted in her last nine matchups.

The victory made it two in a row for Flint Hill and bumps their season record up to 21-5. As for Potomac School, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-4.

Flint Hill will square off against Bishop O'Connell at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bishop O'Connell is coming into the contest with 13 straight wins on the road, so Flint Hill will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum. Potomac School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
