Basketball Recap: Immokalee Comes Up Short

Immokalee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the East Lee County Jaguars and fell 52-21. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

Despite the defeat, Immokalee saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kristina St Val posted 11 points.

Immokalee's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for East Lee County, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-17 record.

Immokalee will take on Southwest Florida Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Immokalee is facing Southwest Florida Christian at the right time seeing as Southwest Florida Christian is stuck on a five-game losing streak. East Lee County has already played their next matchup (against Gateway Charter), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
