On Friday, Pocono Mountain East suffered a tough 74-52 defeat at the hands of the Panthers. Pocono Mountain East has not had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
East Stroudsburg North can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with a 73-64 win over East Stroudsburg South. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
East Stroudsburg North's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nate Wilder, who scored 24 points. Wilder continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Piotr Drozd, who scored 19 points.
Pocono Mountain East has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for East Stroudsburg North, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-9.
Pocono Mountain East didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Timberwolves in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 70-66 victory.
