Basketball Recap: The Christian School at Castle Hills Comes Up Short

The Christian School at Castle Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 78-27 loss at the hands of the Geneva Eagles. While losing is never fun, The Christian School at Castle Hills can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1167th, while Geneva is ranked 282nd).

Geneva got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kyra Petty out in front who went 11 for 13 on her way to 26 points and four steals. Petty is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played. Maegan Riebel was another key player, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten assists.

The Christian School at Castle Hills' loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Geneva, they pushed their record up to 26-4 with the victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

The Christian School at Castle Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Geneva, they will venture away from home to face off against Holy Cross at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Geneva is facing Holy Cross at the right time seeing as Holy Cross is stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
