Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Watauga). They blew past the Freedom Patriots 6-2 on Wednesday. Given Watauga's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 37th, while Freedom are ranked 359th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Watauga hit Freedom with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Quincy Honeycutt (2), Evan Mawhinney (2), Raleigh Deal, and Tegan Martinez.

The victory made it two in a row for Watauga and bumps their season record up to 6-3-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those two matches. As for Freedom, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7-1.

Watauga has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against South Caldwell on the 29th. As for Freedom, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 5-0 defeat against Patton on the 25th.
