Softball Recap: Central Noble Victorious

Central Noble won the last time they faced DeKalb and things went their way on Friday too. The Cougars never let the Barons get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

The result came thanks to Kensy Kimmell's shutout, as she gave up just six hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kaitlyn Tilley, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Deter, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Central Noble now has a winning record of 4-3. As for DeKalb, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Noble will welcome Prairie Heights at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for DeKalb, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Wayne Bishop Luers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13 runs per game on average), something the Barons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
