Basketball Recap: Grainger Takes a Loss

If Grainger was feeling good fresh off their 65-38 takedown of Union County last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Grainger Grizzlies took a 58-41 bruising from the Northview Academy Cougars on Tuesday. The Grizzlies have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Grainger's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Northview Academy, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Grainger will challenge South Greene at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Grainger is facing South Greene at the right time seeing as South Greene is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Northview Academy, they will face off against Seymour at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Northview Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Seymour likes a good challenge.
