Basketball Recap: Bacon County Comes Up Short at Home Against Toombs County + How To Watch

Bacon County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Toombs County Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 86-31. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Toombs County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Parker Stanley, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 12 boards. Those 22 points gave Stanley a new career-high. Cornelius Bullard, Jr. was another key player, shooting 44% from the field on his way to 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists.

Looking ahead, Bacon County will square off against McIntosh County Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Toombs County, they will challenge Tattnall County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
