Baseball Recap: Ryle Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

Ryle never let their opponents score on Friday. They came out on top against the Covington Catholic Colonels by a score of 5-0. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 7-1 victory on April 8th.

Ryle's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Covington Catholic, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-9.

Coincidentally, Ryle and Covington Catholic will both be playing Simon Kenton the next time they take the field. The Raiders will head out to face the Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Colonels will host them at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
