Volleyball Recap: Durand-Arkansaw Gets the Win

Durand-Arkansaw's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Bulldogs by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Durand-Arkansaw had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-16, 25-19, 25-23.

Jessica Wood paced Durand-Arkansaw's offense, picking up 11 kills. Wood got some help from Gabby Sailer and her 22 assists. Chloie Gundersen controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Durand-Arkansaw's win bumped their record up to 16-13. As for Chetek-Weyerhaeuser, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-19.

Coming up, Durand-Arkansaw will face off against Prescott at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chetek-Weyerhaeuser, they will take on Cameron at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
