Softball Recap: West Port Comes Up Short

West Port was the 10-4 winner over Yulee when they last played one another back in March of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. West Port took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Yulee on Friday. The Wolf Pack have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Port saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Brinkman, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

West Port's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Yulee, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-5-1.

Coming up, West Port will be taking part in a tournament against Venice at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. West Port's pitchers better be ready for this one: Venice has averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Yulee, they will take on Sarasota in a tournament on Saturday.
