Basketball Recap: Paradise Valley Comes Up Short

Paradise Valley was the 49-25 winner over Youngker when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Paradise Valley Trojans fell 48-38 to the Youngker Roughriders on Thursday.

Despite the defeat, Paradise Valley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Neha Patel posted 17 points. The contest was Patel's fifth in a row with at least 17 points.

Ashlee Gonzalez continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Youngker, putting up 23 points. Another player making a difference was Daniela Barreras, who earned 13 points.

Paradise Valley's loss dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Youngker, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-12.

As of now, neither Paradise Valley nor Youngker have any future games scheduled.
