Baseball Recap: Fairhope Find Success

Fairhope was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Hartselle on Saturday. The Fairhope Pirates never let the Hartselle Tigers get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. For the Pirates, this counts as revenge for the 5-4 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Jerry McDowell and Harrison Cook dominated on the mound. McDowell didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched, while Cook pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Blake Westry, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Rock Gearhart was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
