Basketball Recap: Tintic Wins Going Away Against Manila

Tintic won the last time they faced Manila and things went their way on Friday too. The Miners enjoyed a cozy 56-42 win over the Mustangs.

Haygen Jameson was nothing short of spectacular: he dropped a double-double with 20 points and 12 boards. Those 12 rebounds gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Luke Hansen, who shot 45% from the field on his way to 15 points.

When it comes to explaining why Manila lost, don't look at Kale Chowning. Despite the final result, he posted 20 points. Teague Goodman was another key player, putting up eight points and five boards.

The victory got Tintic back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Tintic will be playing at home against American Prep WV at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Manila, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-52 win against Wendover on the 22nd.
