Basketball Recap: Umatilla Triumphs

Umatilla won the last time they faced Mount Dora and things went their way on Thursday too. The Umatilla Bulldogs came out on top against the Mount Dora Hurricanes by a score of 40-31. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Despite the loss, Mount Dora saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Taejah Bosch posted 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bosch has scored all season.

Umatilla's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Mount Dora, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Umatilla will square off against Mount Dora Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Dora has already played their next match (against Tavares), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
