Basketball Recap: West Field Longhorns vs. Bear River Bears
On Friday, the West Field Longhorns were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 54-53 to the Bear River Bears. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
West Field lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jordan Harrison, who went 6 of 9 en route to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Slaugh, who posted 13 points along with six boards and five assists.
West Field now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Bear River, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10.
West Field will head out to take on Mountain Crest at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Field is facing Mountain Crest at the right time seeing as Mountain Crest is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Bear River, they and Logan will meet on Wednesday for a tough Bear Battle. Logan is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.1 points per game this season.
