Basketball Recap: Kyson Rinnert Key Part of a Team Effort in Titans Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against A.C. Reynolds, McDowell was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They skirted past the T.C. Roberson Rams 69-66. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Titans have posted since December 10, 2024.

McDowell's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kyson Rinnert led the charge by putting up 20 points. Derrick Forney Jr was another key player, scoring 20 points.

T.C. Roberson's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was LaRon Mills, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lorenzo Sierra, who posted 15 points and six boards.

McDowell's record is now 16-2. As for T.C. Roberson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-10.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing North Buncombe the next time they take the court. T.C. Roberson will host North Buncombe at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while McDowell will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
