Caldwell Academy is 2-8 against Westchester Country Day since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Eagles will square off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Caldwell Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

At the plate, Brett Bullins was incredible, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Caldwell Academy is 9-1 when Bullins posts two or more runs, but 1-13 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Spencer McBurney, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Westchester Country Day came out on top against Caldwell Academy on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run sixth inning. The Wildcats blew past the Eagles 10-4. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Ashton Pittman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over 4.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jesse Covington, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February. Kaline Burr-Ellis was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Caldwell Academy's record is now 10-14. As for Westchester Country Day, their record now sits at 6-11.
Caldwell Academy might still be hurting after the 10-4 defeat they got from Westchester Country Day when the teams last played on Tuesday. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
