Volleyball Recap: Classical Takes a Loss

Classical's tournament run continued when they took on Pleasant Hope on Saturday. The Saints fell 2-0 to the Pirates.

Katelyn Brannon paced Classical's offense, picking up five kills. Brannon got some help from Anna Schmidt and her 13 assists. Brannon was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Classical's loss dropped their record down to 4-10-1. As for Pleasant Hope, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4-3 record this season.

Classical wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Wheaton on the 13th. As for Pleasant Hope, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against School of the Ozarks on the 13th.
