Baseball Recap: Siloam Springs Starts off Right with Win over Northwest Arkansas Homeschool H

Siloam Springs took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They never let the Northwest Arkansas HomeSchool H Hornets get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Jonathan Hyde made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Bode Butler was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. Jacob Davis was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Coming up, Siloam Springs will host Providence Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northwest Arkansas HomeSchool H, they will challenge Aspire HomeSchool at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
