Preview: Neuse Charter Cougars vs. Rosewood Eagles
Neuse Charter and Rosewood are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Neuse Charter Cougars will head out on the road to challenge the Rosewood Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Neuse Charter is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses.
On Tuesday, Neuse Charter didn't have too much trouble with Hobbton at home as they won 61-42.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Neuse Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayvin Bradley, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Bradley has scored at least a third of Neuse Charter's points. Jayden Atkinson was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, Rosewood entered their tilt with Union with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went Rosewood's way against Union on Tuesday as Rosewood made off with a 64-40 victory.
Neuse Charter's victory bumped their record up to 8-17. As for Rosewood, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.
Neuse Charter took their victory against Rosewood in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 69-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Neuse Charter since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
