Plainfield South skates past Plainfield Central with ease

The Plainfield South Cougars's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Plainfield Central 77-30 at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-22.

Demi Page had a dynamite game for Plainfield South, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Page has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Destynia Mcgruder, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Plainfield South is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. As for Plainfield Central, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-21.

Plainfield South won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Joliet Central at 6:30 p.m. on February 7th. The timing isn't great for Joliet Central: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Plainfield South has snatched up nine consecutive wins on the road. Plainfield Central will take on Joliet West at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Plainfield Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 474th, while Joliet West is ranked 164th).
