Basketball Recap: Monticello Comes Up Short

Monticello and Altamont squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Monticello had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Altamont Longhorns by a score of 49-47. The Buckaroo were not able to make up for their loss to the Longhorns from their previous meeting back in February of 2021.

This is the second loss in a row for Monticello and nudges their season record down to 13-10. As for Altamont, their win bumped their record up to 4-19.

Monticello does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Altamont, they and Manila will face off at 2:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played.
