Basketball Recap: Cardinal Huskies vs. Crestwood Red Devils

Cardinal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 61-24 loss at the hands of the Crestwood Red Devils. The match marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Crestwood got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Hannah Ward out in front who went 7 for 15 on her way to 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Ward's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rebecca Brady, who went 5 for 7 on her way to 14 points and five assists.

Cardinal now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Crestwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Cardinal will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mathews at 7:00 p.m. on December 30th. Crestwood will take on Kirtland in a holiday battle at at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
