Basketball Game Preview: Chattooga Indians vs. Christian Heritage Lions

The Chattooga Indians will take on the Christian Heritage Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Chattooga sitting on nine straight wins and Christian Heritage on eight.

Last Tuesday, Chattooga got the win against Coosa by a conclusive 66-44. The Indians pushed the score to 51-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Christian Heritage didn't have too much trouble with Fannin County on Wednesday as they won 63-49. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Rebels are ranked 303rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Christian Heritage's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-1. As for Chattooga, their win bumped their record up to 16-3.

Chattooga came up short against Christian Heritage in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 67-60. Can Chattooga avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
