Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Plainfield East). They blew past the Larkin Royals 79-33 on Saturday. While the Bengals didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The win made it two in a row for Plainfield East and bumps their season record up to 5-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points over those games. As for Larkin, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Plainfield East will take on Plainfield North at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Larkin, they will venture away from home to square off against Bartlett at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Royals will be up against the Hawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 66.4 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
