Basketball Recap: Hanson Comes Up Short

Hanson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Lennox Orioles, falling 62-29. While losing is never fun, the Beavers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Orioles are ranked 18th).

Hanson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Lennox, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hanson will head out to face off against Chamberlain at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hanson is facing Chamberlain at the right time seeing as Chamberlain is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lennox, they will square off against Beresford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lennox has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 187 points over their last three contests.
