Softball Recap: Bishop Ready Takes a Loss

After flying high against Franklin Heights last Monday, Bishop Ready came back down to earth. The Silver Knights lost 19-9 to the Grandview Heights Bobcats on Tuesday. The Silver Knights have struggled against the Bobcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Ana Sanchez was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. Kyra Tibbs also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Bishop Ready's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Grandview Heights, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Ready will challenge Whitehall-Yearling at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Grandview Heights, they will face off against East at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
