Baseball Recap: Oakridge Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

If Oakridge was riding high fresh off their 7-0 takedown of St. Mark's last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Owls fell just short of the Episcopal School of Dallas Eagles by a score of 8-7 on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Owls of the 13-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Brayden Collins was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Easton Jefferson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Oakridge's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-9-1. As for Episcopal School of Dallas, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-8-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakridge will welcome Houston Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Owls surely won't give up without a fight. As for Episcopal School of Dallas, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Cistercian at 5:00 p.m.
