Preview: Del Oro Golden Eagles vs. Granite Bay Grizzlies

The Del Oro Golden Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Granite Bay Grizzlies at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Del Oro's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups.

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Del Oro's strategy against Oak Ridge on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Del Oro blew Oak Ridge out of the water with a 66-39 final score. Del Oro pushed the score to 52-28 by the end of the third, a deficit Oak Ridge had little chance of recovering from.

It was another big night for Jake Williams, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Caden Pinnick, who scored five points along with 13 rebounds and eight assists.

Meanwhile, Granite Bay pushed their score all the way to 60 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 73-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rocklin. Granite Bay has not had much luck with Rocklin recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Del Oro has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. As for Granite Bay, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season.

Del Oro came up short against Granite Bay in their previous matchup back in January, falling 53-47. Can Del Oro avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
