Softball Recap: Mississinewa Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Mississinewa took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Frankton, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Indians came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles on Thursday, sneaking past 2-1. Two seems to be a good number for the Indians as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Mississinewa's victory was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Genna Couse, who went 2-for-5 with one double.

Mississinewa's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Frankton, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-8.

Mississinewa and Frankton are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Indians will challenge New Haven at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Frankton, they will square off against Lapel at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
