Baseball Recap: St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy's offense. They came up short against the Mary Star of the Sea Stars on Wednesday, falling 11-0. The Warriors have struggled against the Stars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joshua Rios, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Mary Star of the Sea, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy will venture away from home to take on Santa Ana Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Mary Star of the Sea, they are taking a road trip to square off against Verbum Dei Jesuit at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
