Volleyball Recap: South Christian's Winning Streak Snapped at Ten Games

After a string of ten wins, South Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Traverse City Central Trojans. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Sailors haven't been shut out since back in September.

Colette Plattner paced South Christian's offense, picking up seven kills. Plattner got some help from Brooke VanderLaan and her eight assists. Finally, Plattner was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

South Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Traverse City Central, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-7.

Coincidentally, South Christian and Traverse City Central will both be playing Portage Northern the next time they take the court. The Sailors will head out to face the Huskies at 1:16 p.m. on Saturday, while the Trojans will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
