Basketball Recap: Westmoreland Piles Up the Points Against Rappahannock

Westmoreland hadn't done well against Rappahannock recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Westmoreland Eagles breezed by the Rappahannock Raiders to the tune of 51-21. That 30 point margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Westmoreland, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.8 points per game. As for Rappahannock, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games.
