Softball Recap: Math Science & Engineering Sets Scoring Season-High Against Martin Luther King Jr Educational Campus

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Math Science & Engineering). They came out on top against the Martin Luther King Jr Educational Campus Knights by a score of 21-18 on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for Math Science & Engineering as they're now sitting on three straight.

Greer Silberbush was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with seven stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Martinez, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.

Math Science & Engineering always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .694. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.

Math Science & Engineering's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Martin Luther King Jr Educational Campus, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Math Science & Engineering will welcome Stuyvesant at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Martin Luther King Jr Educational Campus, they will face off against Bronx High School of Science at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
